"There can be Miracles..."

One of the greatest joy's I have in my work is teaching 5th/6th grade boys bible study.

Yesterday we studied the Israel's crossing of the Red Sea. We talked about what it means to be "between a rock and a hard place", feeling like this is no way out, not solution in sight, not hope...you get the picture.

As I read the story (and then watched the clip from Prince of Egypt), I was conscious that the kids in my Bible Study were hearing it for the first time! The familiarity of the story melted away as I thought about what it would feel like to be trapped, hopeless, knowing that God had promised to be with me...

While teaching, I remembered certain times that God has shown up for me. The miracles that have happened in my life...and I was struck by this thought.

One of the toughest places to be "stuck" in, is a broken (or breaking) relationship. This seems no hope when conflict is not resolved, anger not dealt with, and when bitterness seeps in. I have recently seen a miracle in this respect. God moved into a certain situation when someone decided to follow God's plan for reconciliation in a relationship, even when there seemed to be no hope. The bitterness, anger, frustration and hopelessness parted like the Red Sea, and the relationship was restored. Miracles do happen, and sometimes the ones that happen in relationships are the most powerful.

Do any of you have a story of hope, a miracle that happened in one of your relationships?
